I was born in Denmark. At 13 my family and I came to Canada

 In school I was always drawing women with different attire .It was thought that I would go into illustration or such-but as a new immigrant with little money we had to be practical. At 18 I became a hair stylist. I loved styling hair and enjoyed the people.  I had my own Salon ,competed extensively and won many awards,   In 2003 I retired from hair styling .

   I started to paint and just loved it .I have explored all the mediums -each one has its charm.

I like painting  people [ and maybe because of my background] I seem to be able to do it with ease.  Animals are easy for me as well and fun . In the portraits  I like the actions or pose to tell a story  and to reveal something about the subjects personality. Over the years I have become known for my local images with a nautical chart in the background  and for my bright bold poppies .

 I also love doing abstracts  , exploring textures and mixed media . After I have completed a  painting that is more representational  I usually love to get into a more free spirited one .

  All the art is produced on professional backing[ canvas or fine arts paper  or boards] and the best pigment is used  so all the Art will last for decades if looked after.

 

Some of the pictures have been scanned so any size   print [ GiCLEE] of the picture can be ordered on either  art paper or canvas.

 A   Giclee  is ,a state of the art prints with pigmented  inks that  is fade resistant up to -200 years.

CARDS[ with envelopes ]OF ANY OF THE IMAGES CAN BE ORDERED  $ 4-6  per card ..

 

IF YOU ARE A BUILDER OR  A PROMOTER OF HOUSING UNITS   AND HAVE A SHOW HOME,I WILL CONSIDER  HANGING SOME LARGE GICLEES IN THE UNITS  . free of charge [ but for sale of course ].
